If you are traveling with your equine friends and looking for places to stay with your horses in Missouri, visit our luxury farm getaway in the country only 80 miles from St. Louis in the Missouri Ozarks.  Many people going or coming from Black River in Lesterville, stop by the stables for horseback riding as we're close by. Your trail ride will be guided by our wrangler, Tim.  He has lived on the farm the last several years and has cut the trail for you.  He has hand picked the horses and will match you with the perfect horse to make your ride the best it can be.

The trail will take you along Stouts Creek, through the woods and into the lanes of the farm.  In the spring and fall you will be able to see the baby calves with their mothers.  If you are lucky you might get a glimpse of a beaver at work or the Great Blue Heron fishing.  The property is home to countless other birds, including wild turkey and the Bald Eagle, and of course, the white tail deer.  If the wildlife sees you but you do not see it, you still will enjoy your ride through the countryside and be able to appreciate the beautiful wild flowers and fresh air.

Missouri Trail Rides - Horseback Riding:    

1 Hour Ride  $30 per person, up to 6 riders.  Guests who stay at Plain & Fancy Bed & Breakfast  will receive a $5 discount, not good with any other offers. Approximate 1 hour ride.

 2 Hour Experience  $50 per person, up to 6 riders.  Guests who stay at Plain & Fancy Bed & Breakfast  will receive a $5 discount, not good with any other offers.  Your experience begins by brushing, spraying and saddling your horse.  Then ride your horse in the lanes and on the trail around the farm approximately 1 1/2 - 1 3/4 hour.                                                                    

1/2 Day Ride, Fish & Lunch  $80 per person, up to 4 riders.  Guests who stay at Plain & Fancy Bed & Breakfast will receive a $5 discount, not good with and other offers.  Ride the trail for approximately an hour before stopping at the pond.  Watch your bait being caught and then cast your pole in the water.  (Catch & Release.)  After a leisurely lunch at the pond, try your luck fisihing again or just relax until time to saddle up.  The ride back will take about an hour.  Please allow 3 1/2 to 4 hours.  Minimum 2 riders required for this ride. 

Riders must be at least 8 years old to do the above rides; sorry no riding double.

Our younger wranglers can do a pony like ride--ages 2 and above.  Pony like ride lets the younger riders get on a horse with a real riding helmet, hold on to the saddle horn and be led on a horse for about 30 minutes.  Mom and Dad are welcomed to walk along.  Cannot be done at the same time as a trail ride.  Pony-Like Ride    $15.00

Boarding:

If you are traveling with your horse, we can accommodate both of you!  We have large paddocks and/or stalls for your horse(s) with space to park your trailer.  $25 for the first horse and $15 for each additional horse, per night.  If you would like to ride on our property, we can offer the above trail rides at 50% off the regular price.
